Volunteer Educator

My name is Sue and I have worked with groups of children in a wide variety of settings, including Sunday School, Camps, Kids Klub after-school ministry, Elementastic Science Entertainment shows, weekly workshops and company picnics and fairs. I was also Youth Group Director for Middle and High School youth in several churches. I am a mother of 3 adult children and have some grandchildren who live in Marshfield, which is why my husband and I retired and moved here. I am currently a Volunteer Educator with Discovery Education Station on Mondays for upcycling education and crafts.

Hello, my name is Jaye. My passion is drawing animals of all types and sizes and I love teaching kids to draw here at Discovery Education Station. I also enjoy helping with the space, ocean and wildlife classes. 

Tia

Volunteer Educator

My name is Tia and I was born in Seoul, South Korea and was diagnosed with optic nerve hypoplasia. I was adopted at 17 months and grew up in Marshfield, WI. I attended NorthCentral Technical College and obtained my Computer Aided Design technical diploma. I am currently going to business school and have started my own 3D printing and engineering company. During high school, I was introduced to the concept of 3D printing and developed a passion for emerging technology such as artificial intelligence. I was a cover story for Modern Machine Shop, a major trade magazine. Come meet Tia on Fridays during our Innovation Friday classes that she teaches!

Hi! I like to laugh, have fun, and make new friends. I’m 15 years old & and I love animals, nature, & kids, so the Discovery Education Station was the perfect place for an internship! I have learned a lot, & had a great experience.

Hello, my name is Ana and I enjoy playing music and volleyball. I have lots of experience babysitting and teaching children. I am excited to be part of the “Discovery Education Station” team because I love teaching and working with young kids and I find great excitement in learning science.
